You really had me there - I had to look up ipomea and was confused when it looked like it was a sweet potato, but I see you must mean that the shape is like a morning glory flower...so your interpretation is as good as any it might get It is intended as a loom at different scenes from around the world, although the original image I had in my head was quite different! I think it worked though

A sweet potato wouldn't make sense in connection with that landscape so the first association is "Morning Glory" also your mystic work looks more like a surreal automatism like a flight in the Morning Glory.

Ouch, another spelling mistake...of course I meant 'look", not "loom". Argh.
Yes, I realized a sweet potato wouldn't make sense and in pursuing it further I was pleased to discover that sweet potatoes are related to morning glories - I love learning new things Thank you for your comments.

Thanks Yes, it did turn out like a flower, even though that was not my original intention. I want to animate this drawing by distorting and taking images as it changes, so this is really just a base. It was going to be quite different in content but it kind of took over and became something else.
