It's come to my attention that lions are neglected on deviantart, for being kings of the jungle, they sure don't get into any of the limelight.for every lion picture there are 247 pictures of wolves...
enough wolves people!

This lion is really amazing! The body and mane, very nice way to color them!
The only thing I want to say is its' feet are just a little too big... The style of the feet is pretty cool, just maybe bring them down a size or two to keep them in proportion with the rest of him.

lol, my drawing style when boreed tends to be animals with huge over muscular feet, l dunno why, just my style.
and the coloring was actually better on my original, but a power black out happend (a cheap heater is to blame) which had me redoing this picture from an flat jpg copy, losing the orignal, which sucks.

You're kidding right? Lions are hideously overdone. They're second only to wolves in the amount of art featuring them. I bet I could find a lion character in the newest uploads within 10 seconds.
There are a lot of neglected species here, but lions are CERTAINLY not one!

yeah, thats very true, l should change th artist comments. but for a whole month l saw nothing new towards lions and l mean actual drawings, not photographs and overly breasted lionesses you see along with squirrels...and that made me do this
true, its sad to see everyonethink they are a wolf, fox or lion...what about coaties, badgers, racoon dogs, mice etc? man...l feel like they need advertising...

Yeah, I think the Lion King is what kinda popularised lions. Without that, I don't know that there'd be quite so many about.

yeah, the people need to buy a animal dictonary or something. Yeah, l choose my red panda for the same reason, cause at the time l choose them, not many people knew what they were, it was a mystery of what family it belonged to, and what not...lol, slap on some random colors on wolves is all the craze these days
and l remember when deviantart wasn't all about fursonas... like two years ago, man its changed
