Description At some point in 2015, Starfire was given her own comic series
due to the success of Harley Quinn's own series.

and, Issue #01 REALLY left an impression on readers.

In Starfire's telling of her origin in THIS continuity,
It is shown that in this universe, Blackfire (Starfire's "Evil" twin sister) ISN'T evil this time.

in fact, It is implied that "Komand'r" had a good relationship with her younger sister,
and was heartbroken at allowing her to become a slave/prisoner (unlike her mainstream counterpart, who relished it.)

Given that I am presently writing a Teen Titans/Batman fanfiction,
where the 2003 TV Series version redeems herself..this was pleasant to discover.

that a 'Good Blackfire' is technically canon,
meaning my concept isn't so far-fetched afterall..

...I think I'm going to write a Teen Titans* fanfic with this new information here as my inspiration.

*: The original cartoon series, definitely not the Go-version.

Even fans of TTG2013 (I will label it as such so not to confuse people
with the comic book adaption of the 2003 series that was ALSO called Teen Titans Go)
don't write Teen Titans storylines based on that show.

TTG2013 has no plot, and is just random idiot comedy.
(something only fans of Spongebob would get into.)

but, kudos to you for remembering the time when Teen Titans wasn't laughable.

I might read this fanfic of yours once it's done. I'm curious.

Yeah this is based on her New 52 Origin. Blackfire and Starfire still have some friction but they started out on loving terms and remained relatively positive to one another. The first time you see Blackfire in the New 52, she helps Starfire and the Outlaws (mostly).

Never really understood that how Starfire and the Outlaws thing.

For me, it was basically Starfire slumming with a bunch of bad guys,
as Jason Todd/Red Hood is cemented as a straight forward villain in my mind.

Anyways, that was a good fact to know.
though, THIS comic panel was my best example of a 'good blackfire' to give.

no trace of any animosity whatsoever..

If they can change Mr. Freeze from a thief to a husband trying to save his wife. They can make Blackfire good instead of evil.

Over the years, many of these characters have changed from their original treatment.

Lex Luthor is one good example. as he was once a stereotypical mad scientist,
but was eventually changed into a businessman with grayish morals.

Twoface was also given an improvement from being typical "Dick Tracy" villain,
to a former ally of Batman (and, sometimes best friend to Bruce Wayne)
whose evolution into a villain now makes us feel sorry for him, rather than hate him.

Penguin was also given a better motive for his crimes than just his physical deformities.
as in modern storylines, his family has a rivalry with the Wayne Family.

(which ironically makes Penguin Bruce Wayne's nemesis, rather than Batman's)

But, I am missing the point aren't I?

I do recall a time where Mr. Freeze was more at home on an episode of the '66 Batman TV Series.
a campy villain with a gimmick, and known for spouting terrible puns (and, was even called "Mr. Zero" once)

Batman: The Animated Series did alot of great things for the Batman franchise..
one of them was their 'Heart of Ice' episode (which remains a fan favorite to this day.)

I don't think anyone even remembers a time when Freeze was 'just another villain.'

(even Poison Ivy has some good qualities, as 'Arkham Knight' showed.)

Another good example of what you mean may also be Catwoman.
as she was once "another villain", but is lately considered one of Batman's allies.

Interesting comic. I hope in the future, you offer your ideas of Teen Titans to be added in the 2003 Teen Titans TV series.😄

Right now, I am hoping Rocksteady considers doing a Teen Titans videogame
with Nightwing as the central character driving it, and Deathstroke as it's primary villain.

Maybe it might be set in the Arkhamverse before or after Arkham Knight.

Dude, at this point, the bulk of future Arkham games would have to be set between 'Origins' and 'Asylum'
as it is strongly implied that many years took place between those games.

Even Batman himself stated in 'Knight' that the events of 'Arkham Asylum' took place two years ago.
also, Deathstroke and Firefly remarked how "a long time" has passed since the events of 'Origins'

There are TONS of untold stories between Origins and Asylum
(which thus far have been referenced, or mildly touched upon in the Batgirl DLC content.)

fact, Batman: Arkham VR is just one of those games.
as the story is supposedly about the so-called "murder" of Nightwing.

As for "After Arkham Knight" content, however..Batman Beyond is  STILL on the table.

Now, THOSE I would love to see. I would love to see the events of those games unfold.

MetroXLR In reply to FoxMan0224 [2016-07-12 03:55:09 +0000 UTC]

Indeed.

One prime example is the character 'Great White Shark'
who only appeared as a "jar of assorted body parts" in both 'Asylum' and 'Knight'

one has to wonder what HIS story was about.

We have also NEVER really seen Dick Grayson's time as Robin.
yeah, he's appeared as Nightwing, sure. but Grayson was the original Robin.

so..what was he like as Robin in the Arkhamverse?

and, at what point did Batman first meet Ra's al Ghul and Talia?

he first became aware of the League of Assassins through Shiva,
but the next we see them, It is in Arkham City..by then, Batman has long been acquainted with them.

so, what how did Batman's first encounter with Ra's go?
It SHOULD be addressed, given how important Ra's is to the game series as a whole.

a better story, however, is a statement that for the longest time
Batman tried to help rehabilitate Joker. but, at some point..he gave up on that.

according to resources, Joker did "something" that forever changes Batman's perception of him.

one has to wonder what that something is
(though, It was most likely either shooting Barbara, or Torturing Jason.)

is a game like THAT was ever made, It's story
might be a fusion of 'The Killing Joke' and 'a Death in the Family'.

as for Batman Beyond, well..Gotham of 2039 has it's own slew of Batman Villains
with Inque, Shriek, Blight, and Spellbinder. all of which could translate will enough in Rocksteady's gaming formula.

FoxMan0224 In reply to MetroXLR [2016-07-12 04:42:43 +0000 UTC]

Yes, now there's a character I would love to expand on.

I would like to see what Grayson was like in his Robin years.

I think that a flashback of a "Batman: Arkham City" comic depicted that but regardless, I would love to see that on the big screen.

That shows Batman's hope of redemption for even the worst of criminals and I believe that near the end of "The Killing Joke", Joker considers his adversary's offer of rehabilitating him BUT believes he has done too much to go back now. Do you think the events of that game would be over the years in Batman's career?

I would surely LOVE to see the villains in Arkham style. Inque is basically the future Clayface while Spellbinder is the Mad Hatter of Batman Beyond (in terms of knowledge in hypnosis). Derek Powers/Blight is likely the (future) Gotham equivalent of Lex Luthor or the future version of known corrupt businessmen like Ferris Boyle or Simon Stagg. Shriek may be based on Man-Bat's sonar ability though Bruce Wayne's Batman enemies are a bit short on sound-based villains.

(Sorry if this may seem a bit much. Each of the paragraphs are for each of your statements and they may be done out of curiosity and/or reflection.)

Blight may be like Luthor in character and personality,
but in terms of power, he is more like the polar opposite of Mister Freeze.

in fact, due to his radioactive nature,
a boss fight with him would be tricky, as he is technically poisonous.

he would have to be beaten quickly,
as his radiation would gradually drain Batman's life bar.

While I agree with the Mad Hatter comparison,
Spellbinder can also be compared to Scarecrow in terms of surreal dream sequences.

(then again..Crane and Tetch were ALWAYS considered similar.
so much so, that in some canon media, the two are friends.)

Shriek is unique as far as DC villains go,
but I suppose he is closer in comparison to Spider-Man's "Shocker"

(though, 'The Batman' later created a similar character with Templor.
who also used gloves to generated destructive sound vibrations.)

what Shriek brings to the table to manipulation all forms of sound.
such as muting background noise, making him difficult to hear coming.

(imagine fighting a boss battle with absolutely NO sound, sans the music.)

I found Joker's brief consideration of reforming to be interesting.

another case of Joker having a hidden good side,
was when Joker actually DID submerge himself into a Lazarus Pit.

as a side effect of the pit is temporary insanity,
Joker was briefly cured of his insanity, and rendered temporarily sane.

during with he expressed extreme remorse and regret over his past actions.
