You drew Maria so well! And honestly? Maria's death being the driving force behind just about all of Shadow's actions was my favorite part about him and the fact that that's mostly been replaced with "edgie hedgie omg such edge" and Maria's almost completely out of the picture makes me SO MAD.

oh same, i've been sort of missing the whole concept of maria being shadow's motivating force honestly. i joke a lot about shadow being super edgy n stuff but like. i've always wanted to see some more development of shadow's trauma over maria and her death and all that, y'know? kinda wish it'd be brought back up in more recent games since it's been lacking lately.
though, during the twitter takeover on the official sonic twitter account where people could send in questions to sonic, shadow, and eggman and their VAs would answer in-character, maria was brought up!! someone asked shadow a question about her and his response was super aggressive and...a little depressing actually. so i guess that's something that shows she's still acknowledged to a degree!!
