Description
After making the platypus pattern I wanted to work on something a bit smaller. And some how I'm always going back to aquatic themes, the first idea that came to mind was a goldfish.

Going over to my yarn stash I was rummaging around, trying to find an orange. To my surprise there was none, how could I make a goldfish without orange?

To my luck I recalled a fact about goldfish few may know. Goldfish originate from a common Asian carp, where they were originally a dull grey color.

Besides the common orange color we know them as now, there is also a less common yellow variation. The reason it is uncommon, isn't because its harder to breed. On the contrary, it's easier to produce. Royalty saw the yellow variation as special and only the emperor and royalty could own them, thus making them rarer.
