the composition is wonderful i love how you're diagonal and the play of shadows is really beautifu, yet again it's so graceful, the colors so soothing, i love your dresses!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your mom looked like she had a really pretty wedding dress.
I like it with the foot raised - I think it does make it look a bit more like you're dancing.

I love this one too! It's got a whimsical playfulness about it...it seems like a little girl daydreaming and playing around and imagining things. I love the subtlety of the colors--the soft pink against the cold blue looks awesome! My comments can't do your butt kicking work justice.

Sorry for the delay, I've been being lazy on my devwatch.
Love the feeling this sets off. The sorta lonely but hopeful blue. The overal shapes in the picture can really keep me occupied when I look at it. Hand, shoulder, dress, hand, shoulder etc and then it's like, OMG A FOOT! Ridiculously pleasing to look at. No critcisms for this piece.

I'm not sure how much was intentional.
The idea of walking in someone else's shadow - and it's your mom's wedding dress.
This is much better than the idea of walking in someone's shadow because you're dancing - playing - flirting - pretending.
It also made me think of shadow boxing to prepare for a fight - not sure if people shadow dance to prepare for a dance.
I like that it seems like you're off balance, like you're not prepared to fill your mother's shoes just yet. The indistinct shadows help reinforce that idea.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but that's what I got out of it and I really like it for those reasons.

I agree with Paul on this loveeeeely little picture. It has so much meaning that I'm starting to get jealous of your creativity. I like that you didn't put on a modern styled dress--otherwise you'd probably look like a hooch 
Dancing with a shadow. In a way I get the feeling of loneliness when I look at the picture. There is no other living, breathing, loving person there. It's just the shadow, which can never really be embraced or touched. But, if I twist it all around and look at it from another point of view, there's a sense of happiness and everything seems so carefree. Meaning, it doesn't matter whether there is a person there or not. The company of a simple shadow makes everything worthwhile.

This is lovely! So soft and dream like. You look like a ballerina and the tones in this photo really add to the feeling ofa dream world. Like a child wishing to be a dancer, and the shadow is bigger than them so it's a representation of thier goal for adulthood. I am sure I am reading way too much into this piece, but this is what I see.

My favorite photo I have ever seen on Deviantart. The playful aspect and the creative genius that could only be imagine by something that seems so spur of the moment, are what touch me the most. This truly makes me imagine many possibilities, mostly of a young girl imagining her wedding or a dance with a prince. Oh to be moved in such as to long for dancing with my shadow.
