When I made that one pichur with the Hikari twins both in human form, I ended up having a quick-lil chat with one of my good friends who then had me stirring with inspiration to make this quick-lil comic. Though, it did take more time than I expected, so the ending may be rushed some. ( > ,<);We were talking about how Lan and Hub could finally stick around together-- by that, I mean physically and without the digital barrier between them. And so, this idea came into mind when I looked at my design for Hub's human form for a while: Why don't I make that body a robot body? So then, it could be used like some physical means of Hub moving about in the real world.
That way, people can stop calling him some fake Megaman. That's a pretty hurtful choice of words, ya know?
I also took this time to practice-n-test myself into drawing Lan's hair, and then there was my accidental challenge into drawing Dr. Light. I hardly put time to quick-sketch him comfortably, so I hope he doesn't look too bad! Yet, surprisingly he wasn't too complicated-- I just had to watch out for his form, otherwise he'd be lopsided.
Right, and about that-- let's just say we're in an AU where Tadashi-n-Thomas Light are the same person and so Lan can refer to this Dr. Light as his grandfather, okay? ( ' 3');
So this was what I was up to this past Thanksgiving Break, I hope you all enjoy it~!

So hub has clothes similar to Lan Hikari's clothes, except with a headband on his arm instead of on his head? I'm just guessing.

In this depiction of mine, yep, pretty much. Save for a slightly different color scheme, of course!
Otherwise, I don't believe Hub's got any canonical attire outside of his Navi look that we could reference.

I had considered that, but then I wanted to a take a different (more personal) take on giving Hub a physical body.
So it's kinda the same thing, but the robot is mainly for Hub. ( ' v');

Mhm~ Battle Network/NT Warrior Mega Man was my first of the incarnations that I met-n-knew well, so Hub and Lan have special connections for me. Not to mention, Hub thus became my favorite Mega. They're just so lovable, no?

omg, i can't tell you how much feels this has! i seriously cried reading this! i've always wanted something like this to happen in the game. and when it finally does at the end of Battle Network 6, it only lasts for like, 10 seconds! this is amazingly drawn! it's just so beautiful to see things like this ;w; if only i could get along with my brother this well XD you should make another one of these sometime!

I really do love the Battle Network series, heck it was the first Mega I ever knew! So Hub holds a special place in my heart always. And I have been wanting to work something like this for the two Hikari twins, and after a friend showed me that ending from BN6 it just solidified my decision.
Though I've been wanting to draw more picture with those two, I've been so busy. The least I can do is do other comics where they're together like this-- which I did slightly.

same here! though the first Megaman i played was Megaman X, this is definitely my fav series of all. and i totally understand, im busy too. im planning on making a comic sometime this summer, but i've never really got around to it -.-' i like Battle Network 6, but Battle Network 3 is my fav. i really wish Capcom would make more, but since the creator of megaman left, i doubt that will happen....

This is a pretty cool comic. I kinda forgot that Megaman was made with soe of Hub's data, though I never found out why that was, or what happened to Hub. But, nice work. I really like it.

Yeah, it isn't really put out too well in the game, really only the first game spoke of it at only one moment-- not only that, the anime omits Hub entirely and the manga... Uh, I'm actually not sure where that is, but it's implied Hub exists (I think, so). I wouldn't be surprised if that slipped by one's attention.

Yeah. he's mentioned a few times in the entire series, mostly in the final battles. Still, why don't they ever elaborate on Hub? Honestly, if you make a character or introduce them often enough, you have to let your audience know who they are. Thanks a bunch, CAPCOM.

I know right? Especially since he's... oh, I dunno... the main character in some form. Kinda leaves little bit of an empty hole, so it made me sad to hear that all I can learn about Hub was just that tiny backstory and nothing much else. ( . v.);

It's funny since most of the Robot Masters have counterparts in Lan-n-Hub's world, but despite that every robot Dr. Light made would still be considered the twins' "uncles" or "aunt"!
(I've been wanting to do something about that, but I'm worried if their meeting would be awkward.
"Oh, it's... Uncle Rock...? You know our 'uncle' who is twice as small as me."

As a huge Battle network nut, this really hits me in the feels. *falls on the floor and dies*
Either way! I really love this idea of Hub having his own robot body. It kinda reminds me of the Copyroids in BN6. Granted since this one is made by the classic Dr. Light it would most likely work on solar energy, making it better than the copyroid. Also I'm sooooooo jealous of how you draw their hair! Seriously I couldn't draw Lan's hair even if my life depended on it! And I really love that Hub's hair on the back of his head kinda looks like a little pair of wings. Really makes him feel like an angel (I know that this is the offical version of Hub's hair, but it looks a lot more like angel wings in your style).
Also Dr. light's hair and beard looks like cotton candy. Which isn't a bad thing since Light looks like Santa Claus and Santa needs to have cotton candy hair and beard.
And that last panel! It just absolutely OBLILERATED my feels! I really love family scenes TwT *dies again*

Ah, yeah. I good friend of mine showed me that ending, and that kinda sparked this idea for a comic.
Also, I noticed that this sub-series isn't so hot on most Mega-fan's heads. In fact, most really dislike it or don't care. I even heard once from someone who personally felt Hub "wasn't a 'real' Mega Man" being that he's just a bunch of coding and not a robot.
So, I also made this up to let Hub have a physical self once again.
That and I have a soft spot for the Battle Network series, Hub's my first Mega!

I had a hard time working with Lan's hair as well, don't worry, it just takes some improvising to find something that could look correct.
Hopefully when I can, I'd like to make more pictures with those Hikari twins, but right now I'm just too busy.
Even so, I do have some ideas in mind for the future~!

I don't mind the whole ''Hub's not a robot'' thing. That's actually what made him unique to me. Besides BN is in separate timeline from the classic series, so it makes sense. Besides in the 1st BN game Wily wanted to make robots, so in a way the classic series kinda reflects what would've happened if Wily got his wish. And I kinda like the whole cyberworld idea better as well. I really want an iPhone that has a custom program that does stuff for you ;w;.
Hub's your first Mega? He was mine as well so he has a special place in my heart~ Plus the BN series are mostly action RPG games. And I love RPGs.
Can't wait to see what you'll come up with next! But do take your time, it's not healthy to hurry and it'll make your pictures look uglier too! (most of the time)

Oh yes, sometimes people just get pretty prickly when they meet new things, that's perfectly normal of them. But yeah, that's what really caught me with Hub. I love robots as I grew up with them (Power Rangers, Astro Boy, etc) so the Megaman series would sometimes be an interesting spot to touch on. But I also like computers and the Internet, and a Mega Man connected to that world looked so kyuul~!
Navi's were always such a neat concept to me, I had the same feeling as you did!
