"We have so much we need to talk about."Letter, a letter... You mean this letter ?
It's been long since I've started drawing Megaman, let alone mentioned Ryu story-wise, and look how far we've gone. It turns out the two were able to reunite after all.
I do apologize if the ending seems to dwindle off, my focus was ping-pongin' while doing this, but at the same time I really wanted to put this long-stored idea out-n-together, especially since Ryu was finally revealed to make it into Smash. I wanted to make sure the leak involving him was real before I could do anything with this. So here it be!
I am sorry if Ryu looks abnormally large every other panel, I know he's muscular, I didn't mean to make him fat.
Normally, as usual, the idea was meant to be short-n-brief, but then with my silly head I went and made things complex again. So, instead of having the usual "Ryu's here, we hug!" thing, what if Rock wasn't actually happy to see Ryu?
He could've thought Ryu was here for some bad reason, or even if the occasion was for Mega's sake what makes it right for them to meet again? Ryu had been ignoring his "younger bro" for years, or so it seemed. Rock was too scared to find out, all the times he had been "away" it hurt him, and he wanted to project the blame to Ryu somehow.
Even if it would only make his feelings worse.
The feelings overall while making this comic was very twisty for me, as I was trying to display some emotional pain from a child-- and we know how that makes me feel, children as a concept can be very deep if done carefully. ( ; ~ ; )
Let alone, these emotions were bottled up, and even for a robot child it would be hard to deal with them upfront, no?
I do hope, despite the slight rushed end, that this comic conveyed its message well enough.
And that being said, I do welcome Ryu wholeheartedly as I do with many into Smash.
It is really nice to watch a fight and see those two win a match together, I don't know how else to describe it besides that it just makes me feel darn happy.

Well, the closest thing we have to virtual reality right now is Occulus Rift.

Yes, they are! Marth's just surprised at how strong Roy's gotten to be able to lift him up like that.

....for a second I thought it was Ike there, but when I look closer it's Roy. (Probably mixed them up due to both wearing headbands or some kind. )

No worries, it's hard to tell with a roughly-drawn doodle in the far back!
But to answer your question, my main is Megaman, followed by Marth as my other main.
Then, I have some secondaries lying here-n-there, but I have yet to give any specific names.
Oftentimes, I just mingle and play with whomever despite not having a full grip on them yet.
But that side, it's Rock and Marth.

My main is Ike (ever since Brawl [It was used to be Fox in Melee and 64 but I wanna give Ike a try and... It's a long story. Perhaps another time], follow by Meta Knight.
My secondaries are: Sonic, Luigi, Shulk, Link, Zelda and Fox. Though like you, I occasionally did play as others (if I feel like it)
Otherwise it's just Ike and Meta Knight.

I used Marth since Melee, which was my first Smash game, so he's been sticking with me from the beginning. I had occasionally used Ike back in Brawl too, though his feel is rather different to me in the new games that I hardly use him. Not that it's impossible, he's just not a huge secondary of mine.

Ironically, Brawl is my first Smash game, follow by Melee and 64. Well, I guess it's time for me to tell you the story of how Ike became my main.
It starts off in Brawl, when I was still like a noob in Smash Bros. When I got into Subspace, I was eager to play as Fox. So you can say that I had a history with Fox. I have not hit the stage when I get to play as Ike, so when I got that, I was like "Great. Another Marth clone huh."
I had a well...bad taste for Roy and Marth in Melee. Don't get me wrong, they are both good, just that I feel that their play style is too similar. At least for me. Anyway, back to the story. I decided to give Ike a go, and man, I can just throw that sentence out of the window. Despite the fact I seriously hate that speed, I realise that he makes up for it in damage. I just love the damage he gives out. It's sooo good to see things flying in the air. When my friend invite me over to his place to play Melee and 64, I was still at Ike mode, and when I saw the roster in Melee, my mind snap to reality and I was like "...Crap. Completely forgot that Ike is not in this game." So I went with Fox.
Even though Fox had been in my main for around...2-3 years, I had to continue to be a Ike player for the simple fact that Ike helped me won a few friendly matches against other professional players (well, i am not that good thank you very much). So yeah. Story of how Ike became my main.

Ah, interesting. See, that's why it's a little helpful to be able to read or recognize certain moves of other characters, and not generalize them into say "an Up+B" or "a swingy thing" otherwise, we might as well call everyone a clone of each other for just throwing a punch at someone (more than 50% of the roster does that anyway, including Ike).
It is also nice to have other faces in your group for use, so you don't get scared when you're in a game without your favorite fighter.
I went to a local tourney at my library once, and half the youngun's were complaining we were playing Melee not Brawl, I think they missed Ike a lot. And while Melee's my first, it isn't my favorite nor do I give two figs about it's technical community-- I'll leave and let live, rather.
But I guess the moral of the story is, try to be open a little, maybe you can find something you'd like that you never thought you would!

Well, five seconds later, I kinda like playing as him (I was using male Robin). But when my friend ask me to enter a tourney as Robin, I said hell no, and went to play as Ike.
...Well, I guess I got the play-as-Ike-way-too-much disease xD

Same-same, my only problem with Robin is that he is super sluggish.
Usable, but sluggish for my taste.
So I just use him for kicks, and as a semi-secondary.

Oh yeah, quite crazy that I was able to get the opportunity to wind this all back together. Thank you~!
And yeah, Roy's definitely gotten stronger in this iteration of Smash (look-wise and gimmick-wise) that I wanted to poke fun at that a little and had him lifting Marth up for fun~
So the thing was, back in one of the earlier Smash patches, some hackers went into the data and found some odd sound files listed with Ryu and Roy's names, specifically sounding in a way that was for victory themes in the 3DS, along with other sound files for stages we see now as DLC.
The funny thing was they continued to show up in later patches when they looked back into them, so people were starting to get suspicious. And now here they are, both Roy and Ryu are in the game, the rumors were true!
