"Guys... I'm really trying. And you aren't helping."

This isn't really specific for Megaman's anniversary (which in any case, Happy Anniversary~!!), but hey, it's Mega-related so that's something. ( ~* -*)~

Something that caught my attention, as it may have for anyone else who likes to gather bits o'trivia~ Each mainline Mega Man (that goes by the name, I don't really count Vent and Aile under this category) has appeared in a crossover as a playable character, more specifically a crossover fighting game. That is, each Mega Man save one as gotten this sorta opportunity, and that one happens to be Geo.

For reference, Rock is in Marvel vs. CAPCOM 2 and Smash; X is in Marvel vs. CAPCOM: Infinite; Volnutt is in Tatsunoko vs. CAPCOM; Hub is in Onimusha; and Zero (depending on the version) is in MvC 3, TvC, Onimusha, and SvC Chaos because he's just that cool.

I think part of that really is due to the fact that he was so recent (and overlooked) at the time, so there were hardly any places where he'd seem to fit in a crossover fighter. Even if I know it's not that likely Geo and Omega-Xis may get that chance, I just found it an interesting thing to think about, and to draw.

Plus, it gave me an excuse to draw these boys for some newer color references and whatnot~
(Rock and X aren't here though because they are far too nice to poke jabs at Geo like that, uwehk--)

Anywho, I don't mean to make Geo a butt of jokes for this reason, that's just plain mean.
As it's already been noted with Smash's case, you don't need to be playable in a coolio crossover to be worth anything. This was made simply as an observation. If anything, these two get a pretty model via a Final Smash, I think that counts as something.

And who knows~ Maybe someday CAPCOM will find an opportunity to bring these boys into the spotlight again. Just maybe. (Don't think I forgot about that thing from MM11 that was never brought up again. What was that all about??)
