This was actually a class-assignment - where I was suposed to create a picture based on a picture by a famous artist. I chose Odd Nerdrum as my artist because of the dark nature in his pictures, and when I saw the original artwork - this idea appeared. xD

The mind of a child is innocent and pure. When it sleeps, the unknown terrors of reality disappears in it's dreams. It has to wake up at some point, and when it does, the real world will be there waiting.

Each of these monsters represent something terrible from reality.
The cat - disease
The snake - a dream gone wrong
The wolf - disguised lies
The skeleton - death
