.: Origin :.

It is said that with Fall, a mighty dragon with the body of a flaming colour, eyes as yellow and bright as suns, went to the ground to give last breath after a deadly fight with Darkness. The place he had chosen as grave was a big pumpkin field. As time passed the plants fed from it and one day the strongest of them gave birth to a creature not yet seen.

.: The Creature :.

As big as a small dog, shaped as dragons with a long tail finishing in a green swirl, their skin was as hard as iron, but as soft to touch as leather. Pupiless eyes seemed empty but their face showed several expression.
Their basic colour is orange, as the pumpkin they are born from, and stripes of green goes along their back, with brown dots, it is along their spine that can grow leaves, swirls or flower, of the gender they are. Marking can come in orange, yellow, red or green tone, giving them cute or scary look.

Females have big flowers, starting with a small bud, though instead of a pumpkin, after it is fertilized with polen coming from the flower of male through play and cuddling, grow a single seed.

.: Breeding :.

Both parents care for the precious seed, putting it in earth, giving it water and sun, of it will grow a plant, and this plant, descending from the first one, will give birth from one up to five offspring of the happy couple around the first months of automn.

.: Behavior :.

Those dragons are friendly to most, thought they get along better with lover of plants and good gardener. Fearful of the unknown, their curiosity can sometime outpass their waryness and they can trust easily. Much like dogs, they are really loyal to those they care for and don't even hesitate to protect them with their hard claws and though jaw able to cute the ember they feed from. When feeding, and sometime after, their body will glow from the light coming from the ember, as well as the candles they sometime snatch out of human house. They don't drink, they absord rain by their skin and really enjoy staying out under the rain.

Not domesticated, they are none the less good companion, happy to stay in a well-cared and healthy garden, chasing pest and other creature who would hurt the plants amongst which they live. It is believed they can understand all languages, even the one of Plants.

During winter they usually find a burrow, hibernating until it's warm again. Thought if they decide to stay with their gardener -because none can own those free spirit- they can stay up all winter and enjoy the fireplace and its snack.

Their favourite month is october, and favorite day is halloween, they can wonder around the world and find a new garden without being spotted.
