I like the style myself. Very chunky and cartoony, and that's brilliant!
I just find the black, noisy, gritty background you put behind the character a bit.. messy.
You can try a different colour, or change the layer style a bit. Make it so it's not exactly black, cause it doesn't blend well with the other colours.
All and all, it's a great piece! Keep it up
