Another Light painting piece .. I like this very much. it's a failed attempt to harness some of the simplicity and normal atmosphere that manages in his light painting. . we are both avid lightpainters, but we have a different style... his piece Contemplation inspired me to just try a back glow on this piece.. I didn't set out to copy his style. which is good because I failed miserably.. but I do like this being a little more sparse than my other light painting ..tell me what you think.. compare if you wish..

The model seems to have moved, there some black banding onthe leg and one hand. So I'm assuming you useda long exposure with a front fill flash a low intensity? The movement adds a really interesting element, almost lifts her out of the picture. Really nice.
BTW what is the ligth source behind the model?, the colour temp doesn't look like fluro but I thought that anything else would produce too much heat for the model and fabric.

Hmm.... I think that I'm beginning to understand the technique, very cool! It explains alot about the look. I've been a LD for about ten years in Thearter and TV and doing video camera/directing for about 5, so light is my thing and really appreciate the amount of work here. Seeing this being applied photography in such an inovative way is incredable!

No, I have 8000watts of heaters in there.. it was about 85 F .. but she was still cold, the other model and I were plenty warm..
