Description Piece of art-works collection "Different" made by Yuri Firsanov (Russia). Work named "Ruslan and Ludmila".

Material: linden (natural wood).
Height: 60 cm.

Now work is owned by Moscow and All-Russian Patriarch Alexey the Second.

The amount of detail is really stunning, the figures look both very realistic. The piece conveys the scene from Puschkin's poem so, that one could almost believe that encountering a giant head is something that can happen from time to time. Great work!

Wow... I utterly agree with the commenter who said this is an art that is sadly dying out these days. Truly a wonderful masterpiece in wood, I can only imagine how many hours of love and labour went into creating this... the filigree work on the tree alone baffles me, not to mention the beautifully smooth helmet. Just wow... I truly hope that you can keep this beautiful tradition alive and are properly appreciated for it.

Unfortunately, in this gallery presented all works of Yuri Firsanov.

In nearest future I maybe could add some new photos of already presented works - views from different sides.

Its just simple mathematics - all you had seen is more than 10 years of life and working 12 hours a day. Some works made in 3 months, some - half a year...
