Oh yeah, the song in the last panel is called "Goodbye Horses" by Q Lazzarus. It's originally used in Silence of the Lambs (Though Jay and Silent Bob use it in Clerks II, where the above quote is from!

Putting all the pieces of this comic together I can't help but feel disturbed to my core. Mostly because I'm remembering the scene that you drew that last image from in Silence... and that scene freaked me the fuck out. So... yeah, dark to the max while still holding onto that comedy edge.
The key elements that I associate with this comic.

I saw the official trailer on YouTube and found it awesome. This kind of Joker is the maniac we know from the animated series (when Mark Hamil voiced him, which was awesome), only that he DOES look like a true psychopath and maniac now. Screw what people say about the Batman series, this'll be awesome! Oh, and I got your "Joke-r" joke, hehehe...

As for Heath Ledger Joker, I do enjoy the new twist on the character. Most people are all like, "Only Nicholson can do it right!" and they wanted him to be like that, but I'm so glad he wasn't, cause why would I wanna see the same Joker done twice? This one's totally all psychotic killer and it's great.

Especially with the "DARK Knight", you'd want a psychotic killer as the main villain, not a goofy one that matched the more child-like Batman back then. Damn it, the new generation wants a good murderer!
