The Carcano has a Mauser bolt-action with a Mannlicher cartridge feeding mechanism. I have a M91/41 rifle and a M38 carbine. Both are well-made and handy if a little stiff to operate. A good gunsmith could remedy that problem.

Excellent sketch! I like the recognizable appearance of the rifle.

ah, i've never see anyone draw a mannlicher. I myself prefer the strait-pull system of 1895, which was faster than even the lee-enfield.

well at last the Mauser system is the best of the World...mostly every Hunting Rifle got it and the old Springfield 1903 had the Mauser System too...
but ya know, i draw everything about Weapons to learn much ^^

True, the mauser system is pretty neat, but the british lee-enfield rifle was the best version. ten rounds in a light weapon (externally short too!) that fired accurately. The term 'mad minute' came from the british technique of firing as many rounds as they could in a minute, coming close to that of a modern automatic weapon.
