Description     Clouds lay scattered everywhere so that bright sun light shined through the gaps, casting shadows in random patches of the small village. All of the Pegasus stopped what they were doing to join the mass crowd of citizens who were walking along side a crowded street. Mourning faces were everyone as the crowds tried hard not to weep but show strength in the time of turmoil and lose. Everyone in area was heading to an unspoken meeting spot, the Castle of Friendship. A small but beautiful looking castle made entire of crystal and shaped like a tree, the first home that their honorable Princess lived in before she gained a new home to call her own. This was to be the place where she would be brought too one last time before being laid to rest with the other citizens who had also passed away. While the castle usually glowed and sparkled like the flame of friendship, it was now dim and dark, not a single glittering light was to be seen. As the ponies grew ever closer a cry broke out, one that broke the silent and made everyone look up as a light grey pony came running through the crowd, closely followed by her husband, a blue unicorn who looked as white as could be and ready to faint at any moment, shaking so hard that he had to grab onto others just to keep his balance until a stable arm held him up as his legs finally gave away to the sound of his wife's cry of agony.
"NOOO!! IT'S NOT POSSIBLE! NOT MY LITTLE GIRL! TWILIGHT!! WAKE UP! PLEASE! WAKE UP!!" Twilight Velvet screamed in horror as she held her daughters hand. It was cold, lifeless, and didn't move. An parents worse fear was staring right in front of her, her daughter, child, light of her world, was gone, asleep, and never waking up. As Velvet laid across her daughter she cried heavy tears streaming down her face. She was not the only one to have water flowing out of her eyes as six others had their faces soaked as well. Twilight Sparkle's best friends and loyal assistant, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack and Spike were all crying as they tried to carry Twilight and her casket to her home but stopped when they saw Velvet breaking through the crowd, hoping beyond hope this was a trick, a lie, or maybe she was just under some horrible curse. Yet as she stared at her daughters face, there was no denying anything, Twilight Sparkle had left the world of Equestria and was resting for the last time of her life.
Behind the crowd of ponies a portal opened up and three ponies ran out as quickly as they could and like Velvet, made their way through the crowd without being stopped but given room to make their way to the casket. Only for another shout to be added to the sobbing mother as Shining Armor fell to his news and screamed in agnony, his heart having been ripped out of his chest and Cadence losing all of her color as she tried to look her sister in law in the face but couldn't even bring herself to do. She just turned away and hugged her daughter, who was crying so hard into her mothers shoulder it sounded as if someone had been trying to start up some strange device.
The last one to look at Twilight was a lengthy and very skin man in a suit that looked so normal that a few of the ponies had faces of surprise rather than mourn as the Spirit of Chaos was dressed in what seemed to be a proper and normal attire for a funeral as such. His left hand twitched as he tried to touch Twilight's fore head, thinking that maybe he could undo this horrible accident, if he hadn't failed her, protected her like he promised, did something to try and save her. He couldn't, he snapped his fingers and vanished, to sulk on his own as he couldn't dare face Twilight, to face her family and friends, to face them all. He failed to his duty and Twilight paid the price, that was a place he wasn't meant to be, he had to go else where, round up as many citizens of Equestria as he could, so that they could pay their proper respect to Twilight, someone who didn't deserve Discord's respect, not after what he failed to do.
It was several long minutes before the crowd started to move again, joined by new faces from all parts of Equestria, all of the citizens who Twilight Sparkle and her friends had happened through the many years of Twilight simply being a Unicorn who was writing friendship lessons to her mentor to become a Princess to help guide Equestria, she was now to be remembered for all the good she did. Once the casket had finally reached it's destination, it was lowered down and her closet friends and family stay right next to it, staring at all of the faces, all of them mirroring their own. Princess Celestia and Luna, who were waiting at the castle, came forward with a microphone and held it out for anyone of Twilight's closest friends or relatives to take it and maybe say a few things. None of them did, Celestia then offered the microphone to her sister, the first one who Twilight helped, didn't take the mic. Princess Celestia tried to hold the mic steady and speak into it, but her usually pearly white fur was dim and covered with tear tracks, just list the mic fall to her side as she started to cry even harder over not even being able to say one word to her protege.
A scaly and rather large hand grabbed the mic and held it tightly in his hands, everyone had their eyes on Spike, the once baby dragon who was hatched by Twilight Sparkle, raised by her and grew to become the mature adult he was today, found only enough courage and strength to say a few words.
"Good bye, Twilight," Spike said before dropping the mic and falling to his knees where he started to cry his eyes out, Rarity putting her arm around him and crying with him.
It was a long half hour as several ponies tried to either contain their emotions or go up and say something, but no one could do it. Not a single one was able to find words to say about Twilight, not from lack of knowing her, she was well known and did such amazing and wonderful things, if not for her friends and self, Equestria would have fallen long ago. What more could you say other than 'thank you' or 'good bye'?
After no one could find any words to say, the casket was lifted up again, Rarity and Spike were left behind, so Celestia and Luna took their place, as the two were half a foot back with Velvet and Shine Light, unable to carry on with carrying their friend to her grave. The walk was long and quiet, as birds flew over head and bears stood in the back as smaller animals stood on their backs. The crowd finally reached the open grave and without any other words, Celestia and Luna levitated the closed casket into the ground and filled the hole. It was the last time they would ever see Twilight Sparkle and they would honor her memory by ensuring that her last act of protecting Equestria wasn't in vain.
