Leilani was born in Ecruteak City with her mother and father who loved her very much. She not only child since by the age 4, her baby brother was born. She happy to have a younger sibling, she usually sing to the infant to calm him down or to be to sleep. Her life was in pure happiness except one day her father came home ill. At first it seems like he had a simple fever but it was a terminal illness that causes death. Each day she will take care of her father and helping her mother out to ease her burden. She will usually sing to her father since he always loved to hear her unique and beautiful voice. It brings warmth and love into his dying heart to ease his pain but it lasted to his last breath. By the age of 9, her father passed away, it was sad and dark day for Leilani as she held her younger brother who is 5 years old and asking her; “How come papa won’t wake up?” She knew the truth will be hurtful for him but she knew telling him is the best way for him to understand. All she said that went to a better place far away, where he can live free. He didn’t understand and somewhat confused. She told him one day he’ll understand. After her father death, their mother was hiding a secret from her two children.

After Leilani’s mother found about her husband illness, she went straight into depression feeling empty until she met a man who brought her love. She never told her children about because she’ll know they will tell her husband about her new found lover so she kept it as a secret from the children until her husband finally breathe his last breath. A year later, Leilani’s mother introduce her children to their new father. Leilani didn’t like the idea of having a new father especially when he looked at her strangely and rather odd. She felt uncomfortable around him and there was something off. He stayed with them for a two days, Leilani found out her soon to be step-father had two daughters around her age and he lives in the Alola region. Her mother told them Leilani and her brother they are moving to the Alola region to stay with their new step- father. Leilani felt unsure and somewhat scared. She doesn’t know the man and he stares at her with his darkened eyes like hunter waiting for its prey. She couldn’t say no to her mother and wants to be a good child for her. Her brother on the other hand refuses until Leilani held his small hand with hers. She gave him a gentle smile telling it’s going to be alright. As the seasons past, Leilani family moved to the Alola region in Konikoni City. She like the city since it gave her nostalgia of Johto. When meet her two new sisters, she thought they will be kind and gentle since they are around her age and hoping to be a family with them but her instead they looked down at her with disgust and as with amusement. Each day Leilani had to be slave for her two step- sister, from cleaning their rooms to be spit on, kicked, and pushed down the stairs for their amusement.

They enjoyed seeing her in pain, her little brother fought against them for picking on his older sister. The sisters threatened him if he does anything bad their father will send him away. Leilani brother wanted them to be punished but Leilani stopped him before he tries anything else. He only glared at them and help Leilani with her bleeding wounds and bruises. There was a day that she couldn’t take it anymore, she was bringing the clothes down to start washing until her step- sisters, tripped her down the stairs, she fell onto the hard wood earning another bruise and the clothes spread everywhere. She heard laughter as she turned her head to see her step sisters laughing at her until one of them grabbed a rope and kicked her on her back so she couldn’t get up. Yelping in pain, she felt her neck being tied up. Leilani chocked for air as she was being dragged by one of her step- sisters. They laughed at her in amusement seeing how she begs for air or for help as they called her a dog as they dragged her around on the cold wooden floor. Suddenly there was a loud crash and yelp, she freed from her step sisters grasp until she saw one of them on the floor bleeding as there was glass shards around the step sister head. She quickly untied from the rope until she heard a yelp from her right.

She quickly turned to see the second step sisters grabbing her brothers hair. She was cursing the young boy until Leilani pushed the step sister away from her brother. Something Leilani heart burst out beating fast feeling rage in her soul. She went up to the step sister as she started punch the girl face over and over. Reminding her step sister that she will give a harsh punishment who dares hurt her younger brother. She says as she raise her bloody fist up to air to punch her one last time but a large hand caught her. She looked to see it was her step- father. Fear struck on Leilani as he yanked her away from her step sister pulling her and her young brother to the cellar and he threw them down in the dark room. He slammed the door on the in anger. Leilani felt scared in the dark room especially in the darkness which she feared. Her brother took her hand making sure she’ll be fine. He asked her to sing the lullaby that their father used to sing when they were young. She nodded and started to sing as she held her baby brother close to her. Their small happiness together didn’t lasted too long until the middle of the night when their step father came down the stairs as both children sleep. Leilani was awoke by the sound of her brother struggling and demanding to be let go. Leilani saw her step- father dragging her young brother upstairs. Leilani ran after him with her small legs but by the time she could reach her brother the door was slammed in front her leaving her along with the darkness. She banged on the door to bring her back and cried. In so many years she held back her sadness and her anger. She kept banging on the door and screaming to be let out and bring her brother back all night until her voice was cracking and damaged by her constant yelling and screaming. She was along in the darkness which became her fear. Three days have past after the event. No food or water, Leilani was alone in the dark cellar. She heard the door open as suddenly all of her items are sent down. Familiar snickers echoed the dark room. It was her two step sisters, they came to tell her that she’ll be staying in the cellar from on and will never come out until a guest arrives and school. Food will be brought to her in daily basis. As he gets close to her bed, Leilani sneaked away from her hiding place and quickly ran up the stairs before that monster turns to see her. She opens the door quick and escaped from her prison. She locked him up there as he started to bang on the door demanding for her to open it. She ignored it and quickly escaped her so called home. She ran out from the city and all the way to Heahea City, to leave the island and head to the next island, Melemele Island. Around the age of 15 Leilani resides at Hau’oli City, where she usually sings on the streets and play on the guitar. She didn’t know what to do when she came to the city after running away but she knows that in the city there’s tons of opportunity to use her talent which was singing.

She decided to work on her music career and hope that she can reach her goal. She started to sing from streets, bars, to cafe shops. She started to get popular due to her voice until a young woman approached her to give her an opportunity to become the next top singer in alola region. Leilani accepted this opportunity. Leilani was put in band group called “SEE NO EVIL, SPEAK NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL”, it’s a jpop group that plays from pop to rock. Leilani was welcomed to the group when she aced her auditioning on her singing skills. The group gave her the name Mizaru as her persona since they want to keep the band mysterious and keep their identity to themselves. She was loved by her band crew and treated her like their family. She was happy to be in the group. As years passed, Leilani and the band group became popular throughout the Alola region from young teens to young adults ready to challenge the world. She was happy to be well known but she still miss her younger brother who is alone at Hoenn region continuing with his studies. Her manager keeps her working on her singing skills and work. She never had time to rest, her group keep telling her to relax but her manager keep pulling her away from the group which caused some health problems for Leilani by the lack of her meals to her resting time. She was becoming a nervous wreck especially when her manager put her on world tour with the band. She never had the time to explore each region or enjoy it. She was constantly on the move, when she was on her second concert in the Kalos region, finishing her last song, she told one of the band members that are close to her that she couldn’t breathe. They couldn’t hear her until she fell faced down on the ground unconscious. Leilani was rushed to the hospital, her manger canceled the concert and the world tour and told Leilani that the doctor says that she’s a break from music.

She apologized to Leilani for pushing her to the limit. Leilani forgives her and as well apologizing for not being a good singer. Her manager had an idea to take Leilani and her group anywhere she wants to be. This clicked into the woman mind. She told her manager she wants to go to the Hoenn region to find somebody who is a close to her and visit a certain person. As days passed she was released from the hospitial, she stayed at the hotel in Lumiose City while everyone was busy doing their own thing from playing on the instruments to relaxing and figuring out where to go in the Hoenn region for vacation, the young singer walked in the beautiful city embracing the beauty of it until a black car stopped in front of her. She cautious and weary of this car but when the door opened dozens of hands grabbed her and pulled her into the car while she screamed for help but there was no one. The last thing she heard was a demonic laugh. The young singer woke up in a forest covered in fog and as well with the darkness. She felt panicing and scared. The darkness reminded her of the dark cellar that her step- father put her in. She started to walk calling out for help until she heard something snapped behind her. In fear, the girl ran and ran until she found herself in front of an haunted hotel that will change her fate forever…
