I've been watching Game of Thrones with a friend of mine and he's always mentioning this series... This art is very intriguing, I'm definitely going to have to pick up the novel.

Some may find the sheer number of books in the series daunting but if you get through the first few and you are still in engaged you're in for an awesome story.

I always get curious as to how each person will draw the "color-shifting" cloak of the Warders. I think you did a good job on it here.

At the time I created this I was kinda new to the series so I wasn't completely sure about the concept of the "color-shiftiness" of the Warder's cloak. I might handle it differently now.

Nope. No reference used for this picture. Though not the say I didn't subconsciously reference someone I know or had scene on the big screen at some point. For the most part I just sat down and really thought about what the characters looked like to me from what I knew at that point in the series.

Hey. I have an idea for you. If you've read the entire series, then you know what Rand looks like now with his physical changes and other ones. You could draw him now with Callandor in his hand (and just use that sword right there but add a crossguard) and then add everything else. I'm being a bit vague cause I don't know how far you've read sorry. But I've been looking for a picture of Rand, Logain, and Mazrim...and I think you could pull it off really well.

Perhaps. Admittedly I used a bit of artistic license with this piece and the accuracy of some details may be off. This is simply what I pictured when reading the first three or four books in the series.

When I saw the thumbnail of this, I let out an embarrassing squealy noise. The lighting is fantastic, and I really like your interpretations of Rand and Mat's faces. Colors and composition are tasty as well.

The last two always seem to confuse people because I forgot the gem on Moiraine's forehead. So, the first three are correct plus Moiraine and Lan.
