this one's not from my art backlog, i finished it only a few days ago and just now finalized the updates. it's one of my few school assignments i'm willing to post because i'm actually proud of it LMAO

prompt was to paint a "money shot" where you make the art document larger than usual so that you can zoom in and draw minute details, and that made my brain think to make it a big distant shot so that everything appeared smaller and would therefore be the extra detail for me to draw LOL. i think my professor had other types of drawings in mind but hey he didn't seem to mind, he gave me a few things to finesse and says i oughta put it in my portfolio YAYY

but yeah if it looks familiar that's because it IS it's not only sneaky pmd explorers fanart of the beach, but it also uses the same palette from THIS drawing: www.deviantart.com/mi-spark/ar…

a bitch has to do what a bitch has to do and that is recycle a scene and palette from your existing artwork when you've got zero inspiration for school assignments and are in a time crunch <3

we're not supposed to add characters to these assignments anyway so muahaha they'd never know it's fanart of my semi-niche interest >:•D (not that fanart isn't allowed, my professor is totally cool with it LMAO)
