COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY UNRELATED TO AMATERASU FROM OKAMI

Now that we've got that out of the way, this was done for an art trade with A very old one I just got to now. Sorry for the delay! To make up for it, I chose one of her most complex and time-consuming OCs.

This is Amaterasu, whom I presume is Queen, an interpretation of Celestia and Luna's mother. (I put the Queen in there to differentiate from Okami Amaterasu.) And one of my favorites! I've loved her ever since I've seen her, so I just had to draw her. It's been a while since I've drawn an alicorn. Second one I've ever drawn, but good practice for a project banner thingy I'll be working on in the distant future.

That maaaane. God, I love that mane. Such an original interpretation! I enjoy the Japanese influences going on here. Named after the goddess in Shinto.

I gave her a rather unique wing model. I'm pretty proud of the wings and the overall structure. Looks very show-accurate. Alicorns (of this size) are fun! Albeit VERY time-consuming.
