I know, someone else mentioned that a couple years ago, and I drew it a while after I read the book so I had forgotten he had no ruff then. I can't fix it unless I redraw it. :/

It has some things I like, but also a lot I like less. It's pretty well organized social if you ask me and the seasons are good too, but it's oh so boring -.- I'm a nature lover and the biggest thing you can find if you're really lucky are foxens, wild boars and some deer.. I've been to Amarica and Canada and watch a lot of nature programmes and notthing can tip to those I guess XD
It's a good book but I like the Temeraire series more^^ I just really like the idea it's really written through the eyes of a hatchling who grows up and has to survive in a world full of dangers like elves, dwarves, people, other dragons etc. plus, finding a mate is very hard since dragosn became more rare.

I do love how much nature Canada has, I live in Halifax Nova Scotia, it is small for a city but it still has enough trees and lakes and it is by the ocean and sometimes I see many different kinds of birds, seals, and I saw a pair of porpoises once here and we have lots of deer and raccoons and porcupines all over the place lol, occasionally foxes and coyotes are seen around here.
I lived in Calgary in Alberta for a year and that is a large city and they had foxes and coyotes running around there, it was really neat. Once I almost walked right into a coyote in that city. It just stepped out from nowhere, paused like 3 feet from me. It was a really neat encounter and it showed no hostility or anything, just curiosity.

Actually that scene is just 1 day after his hatching.
Yes, Temeraire is very big.
