“A-anyway…let’s see…I would have to say that my favorite flowers are sunflowers, bleeding hearts, snapdragons - because I have to say, they’re so colorful and beautiful…hmm…”

Mia relaxed against the rose bushes as she listened to him, really enjoying how laid-back he was and how easily he could talk about what he loved. She typically didn’t have much to say about some of the things he would bring up, but he didn’t seem to mind, to her relief. So, instead, she let every single word he spoke sink it. She had always been more of a listener, after all.
“Ah…and I also like spider lilies.”

The girl immediately perked up at the mention of this flower and sat back up straight, which Raoul noticed. “You…like lycoris too…??” she asked, caught off guard, but her excitement was bubbling over as well.

“Oh, yeah I do. From the looks of it, it’s your favorite flower?”

“Oh yes~” she eagerly nodded. “I think they’re gorgeous….wait!” Right then, a thought flashed in Mia’s head, and before she knew it, she had leaned in closer to Raoul with a child-like giddiness and with wide eyes. “Wait, oh my gosh…! Does that mean you’ve seen a real-life lycoris before???”

At first, in Mia’s head, she thought she had just asked a simple question and didn‘t think much of how she asked it, but as she took in Raoul’s stare and surprise at her sudden ourburst, her excitement immediately died.

Oh….oh no, I did not just…
