I had big plans for this picture, but they all fell through when I lost motivation to finish. I started this three months ago, and it's taken me a summer of avoidance to finally get the motivation to "finish" it today."Will I ever," the blue jay wondered, "be able to fly as freely as the jellyfish?"

I think it's this wonderful creativity and art that attracts me to this picture so. A bluejay longing to fly in the sky with jellyfish... it is unheard of but I really like it!

this is very lovely, and pleasant. gives a great sense of hope, i love the details on the jay, mountains and the branch...but my favorite aspect is how you captured the free movement of the jellyfish perfectly! ^^ love it!

Intriguing! I love the blue jay's feathers, they look very realistic, that must have taken a load of time to do. His pose is really great too. C: Oh! I just now am noticing that he's still got some baby feathers, I think I understand the picture now. Wow!

Waah so neat. Awesome idea and worked out so well! Great color use and very nice job on the details of the feathers of the bird. You did a perfectly well job on it from each and very tiny detial. Good work!

I love the bluejay & his contemplative posture. You captured him wonderfully realistic so far. I would love to see this one finished. It looks like you were really going somewhere with it, especially with the little bluejay.
And don't hate me for saying but...it reminds me of a Spongebob Squarepants episode where Spongebob longs to fly with the jellyfish.

I was going to make a more elaborate background and glowy-er jellyfish. My inspiration behind this picture was that we had a lot of bluejays coming to our birdfeeder, and I took a lot of pictures. Then one day my family and I went to an aquarium, and there were really gorgeous jellyfish floating around. I might have combined the two into a Spongebob-esque picture. And I like that you thought of Spongebob. I love that show

I wasn't sure what your thoughts were about Spongebob. Because you either like him or you don't & I didn't want to offend you by the Spongebob comment if you didn't like him. 
As great as Spongebob is--I like your take on this longing to fly with/like the jellyfish much better. Bluejays, as pesty & pushy as they can get, are so pretty & you captured this little guy so well. I envy your realism skills. 
Anyhow, whether or not this one will be 100% completed--I quite like it!

Hehe, jellyfishes are following me whenever I go.
I've read Murakami's book and it was full of frightening jellyfishes.

It's very pretty and have an interesting concept, I think you should like it.
So there are flying jellyfishes too.
And this picture you've made is wonderful, especially if, as you said, you haven't draw for a while. The birdie is so detailed! GREAT job, miaorr
