If the sun goes down, don't be sad. It always shines in your heart when you're smiling.Although the sun disappeared it's still there (->sun on her dress ->this was my concept XD)
The "story" of this pic is a bit weird. At the beginning i wanted to draw a small pic for ~chiinosei because she went to japan for one year and it seemed like nothing went right atm so i wanted to draw something for cheering up
. So i decided to draw her OC "Juo". I like the design so i choose her. When i began to draw, it seemed like a normal small pic but then i had the thougth about drawing a poster-motive for my room und i kinda like the sketch. So i decided to draw this pic for her and for my poster lol XD (yes i'm a bit selfish). In the end the canvas has a size of 8000 x 4000 pixel |D. This was also a pratice for drawing clouds :> I'm not sure if it looks realistic but i rly love it. Although i needed 3 h to draw them |DDDDDD. I took my 9 h just for drawing the girl. Ok it wasn't a big deal but i needed 1 h to draw the outlines of the right hand QAQ. The rest was okay.
.Time: 18 h (sketch:1h ; girl:9h ; background:8h)
Tools: SAI (the girl) + Photoshop CS4 (Background)

Before you ask me if i used custom brushes. NOO, I DIDN'T! I used 5 brushes to draw this pic and all are basics in Photoshop and SAI

When i first looked at this picture i thought it was cute but when i took a closer look i found i really liked it. The background in the picture really looks similar to the view i see at night from the stairs in front of my house. Sometimes I'll go out side and the view just seems to pull me into a good mood.

The hard line where the mountains meet the horizon kinda gives this pic 2 ways to view. The first way would be the normal way which is a girl on a road standing in front of a BEAUTIFUL sky.
Then, i also saw it as the purple part was the bottom part of some unknown planet, and we were seeing this girl in space (the black part being the outter space) watching as this planet passed her by.
Either way it's amazing!

in photoshop you should 'save for web and devices' and save as png-24 so that it doesn't get grainy/pixely, esp in the background
