Lookie what I did in art class! XD I think this is the fastest thing I've ever drawn. o.O Only two weeks or a week and a half in class, so I guess 8 or 9 hours or so.Okay, yes, it is Amélie Poulain (or Audrey Tautou) from...well...Amélie. @_@ I think it's my new favorite movie, so I had to draw her for some reason. Even though there aren't very many good pictures online...meh. Still! I picked one, and drew it, and colored it, and that's it.
And this is probably the worst scan of anything I've ever drawn too. o.O Sorry about that, I tried to fix it up in Photoshop as much as possible. The red was EVEN redder than it is now. It was like "ah @__@ Sensory overload!"...It still is, but I put less saturation, so it's so much better while still keeping the color. o.O
I did the covers today XD (That yellow mass down there) I could have easily spent three class periods on that, but I had a test next period, so I wanted to study...so the sheets are so rushed, it's insane. I don't care either though, yellow colored pencils are tedious because they don't blend well at all. I didn't want to deal with them any longer than I had to. Evil yellow, I stick to blue!
And I'm assuming that it will be a horrible thumbnail, so pleeease
FULL-VIEW...the small picture is going to suck. @_@~LOOOVE~
I love Amélie, it's so cute and happy and French, you all have to go watch it. O_o
EDIT: Well, that sucks...they don't let you have "é"s for titles. That's language-ist. What about the french?

Yay, Amelie! I love that movie. It helps with writer's block and makes me feel happy, and Audrey is much nicer in that movie than she is in He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not in which she is a crazy stalker bitch who, among other things, ran over a pregnant woman with a motorbike.
The wallpaper is all pretty, and everything . . . woo!

GAH Amelie is one of my favorite movies ever!! I have it on DVD! And this piece is AWESOME. I tried to convinve my parents to let us name our kitty "Amelie" when we got her, but they wouldn't let me. How sad.

P.S. I forgot to mention that I am in awe of the colored pencil factor. When I first looked at it, I was positive it was oil pastels.

omg, at first I thought you did this in acrylics but it looks you actually did it in pastels. But I really love this, the warm colors in the blanket and her sking are excellent and blend seamlessly with the red in the wall not to mention the idea of space with the slight amount of perspective used really brought out by the bed....iron..thingy o.< but it's really kewl! *nods assertively*

I still havn't seen Amélie. I was gonna watch it with some friends, but we never got around to it. I heard the narration is really funny.
Did you use subtitles or watch it in french? I could watch in french if I wanted... but no, english is way easier.

But yeah, I watched it in French with English subtitles. I understood some of it, but not enough to get the whole movie. XD Nooo, I'm not that fluent.
It's the sweetest, most colorful movie imaginable though. I really recommend it.

French movies make some sense, but they get confusing (probably because I end up translating every word...)
Watching movies with my friends is nearly impossible. That's why I'm only bringing one person to Rent with me. (Yes, they're even loud in the theatres)
I'll rent Amelie sometime though. And when I see this scene that you drew, i'll get a little happy jolt.

And the translating isn't so bad. There are a few parts when it's like "eh, that's not a natural thing to say in English", but again, really cute and not so bad.
XD And if it's impossible, then it's definitely best to get it on your own first. @@ It's not a bad movie to watch by yourself either~

The worst translations are on instructions for building furniture. Instrustions written in english are bad enough, but when they weren't even supposed to be in english, they're impossible.
