A tool.
Created from Venitia, Lethe still possesses traces of it's magical spirit, though it is created to act as a portal to the mind of whoever wears Lethe, and since Lethe cannot be taken from the face of Chettsee's father Mattias, (her current wearer) whoever wears this mask, is prone to doing just about anything Mattias may want them to do.
Why? Because he uses Venitia's spectacular charm to dig into their hearts and taunt them with everlasting friendship and protection.
The thing is, this mask was only made for one person in particular. To connect to one mind, over time... And warp memories and replace them with anything Mattias can make up.
So you can imagine things go a little bit awry when this mask unexpectedly falls into the hands of our dearest Tessa Rayne.
