-Rubber: As we all know, rubber is a natural insulator. Anyone wearing something made of rubber (rubber boots, rubber gloves, etc) will be safe from his lightning attacks up to a certain extent.

(This is the only weakness to lightning that I can think of. If anyone knows any other ones, please let me know)

-Recklessness: Michael tends to do a lot of reckless, risky things in battle that are likely to get him killed. The fact that his recklessness hasn't killed him yet could be considered a miracle.

Personality: Michael loves to fight anything and anyone, and gets excited when the opportunity to do so arises. His philosophy is that everything in life, be it fighting, eating, partying, flying, traveling, etc. should be enjoyed as if it were one's last day. This results in the people around him (mostly his two brothers Daxos and Marco) having trouble controlling him and getting annoyed at his recklessness and shenanigans. He can also be pretty stubborn when fighting: even if his opponent is significantly stronger than him, he won't back down or run away and he will keep fighting even if he has been beaten up within an inch of his life.

Michael doesn't care about race. He doesn't care if someone is a hedgehog, fox, bird, fish, mobian, human, robot, cyborg, nanitan, or any other species out there. All it takes for someone to win his respect is to be able to beat him or keep up with him in a fight, and to have a good reason to fight.

He cares a lot about Daxos and Marco, and thinks of them as his brothers. Both of them tend to be the voices of reason, and although he likes to follow his gut and kick logic and reason to the curb, the few times he chose to listen to their advice and follow their battle strategies have saved him from getting killed.

He also seems to have a fondness for orphaned children, as he can relate to them due to the fact that he was orphaned during a part of his childhood as well.

History: Michael grew up in Roguetown, a place that is like a gathering point for most of the criminals on Mobius, but whether he was actually born there or not is a mystery even to himself. Michael never knew who his parents were or whether they are alive or not. There weren't any orphanages in that town, so he spent part of his early childhood living on the streets. He also didn't have any money, so he had to resort to stealing in order to get things to eat and drink. One day, when he was really hungry and thirsty, Daxos found him lying in an alley and brought him to who would be his family for the next 10 years of his life: the Goldmane Gang, an organization dedicated to maintaining order in Roguetown, both the original inhabitants and the criminals that came there fleeing from the law.

Even though they'd given him a place to stay, Michael didn't want to have anything to do with them. He even challenged their leader, the giant lion Goldmane, to a fight several times, but every time he did he'd get beaten with ease. One night, Goldmane let him leave their hideout to steal food, with the condition that he'd return. Michael didn't want to, but the alternative was going back to living on the streets, so he had no choice but to accept. Shortly after he headed out, it started to rain heavily, but Michael refused to go back empty handed.

He had managed to fill a sack with food he was stealing from some thugs, and just when he was about to leave, he got splashed by an oncoming vehicle and cursed at the driver. The thugs saw him stealing their food and started to chase after him. Michael was so busy trying to make sure he didn't lose any food that he didn't notice he'd run right into a dead end. He grabbed on to a metallic staff and tried to fight off the thugs, but they easily overpowered him and pinned him down. Just when it looked like it was all over for him, lightning came down from the sky and struck the thugs, killing them. Michael should've died with them, but instead the lightning got absorbed into his body. That was when he learned he had power over lightning.

After that, he spent the next 10 years working on his fighting skills and powers. His mentor, Vulcan the Mountain Lion, was a strict teacher who didn't go easy on him during their training sessions. Despite this, Michael managed to learn how to control his powers, and Vulcan became one of the most important people in his life. At the same time, Michael finally thought of Goldmane, the giant lion who was the leader of the gang, as a father and everyone in the gang as his brothers and sisters. Michael left the group at the age of 18 because he wanted to try living his life on his own. He moved to another city where he made a living as a bounty hunter, hunting down the city's criminals.

However, two years later, the Exus War started and he had to return to Roguetown to help his family defend his home from the Exus. By the time he arrived, all of the people in Roguetown had fled, and only the Goldmane Gang remained. The battle raged on for a whole month and, even though quite a few of them died in battle, Goldmane and his family seemed to slowly be gaining an advantage over their enemy. In fact, the last three days before the battle ended, they were positive that victory was theirs. But then, the unthinkable happened.

On the last day of the battle, Michael was fighting alongside his mentor Vulcan, and they seemed to be doing well. The brown hawk was so exhausted that he didn't notice an Exus Dusk charging at him until it was almost on top of him. Vulcan immediately rushed to move his student out of the way, but the mountain lion couldn't protect himself in time from the Exus Dusk, who smacked him out of the way, sending him flying into a tree. After destroying the Exus Dusk, Michael ran towards Vulcan to see if he was alright, but instead found the horrific truth: the crash against the tree had killed his mentor, who lay on the floor with a broken neck caused by the impact.

Michael's scream of horror attracted the attention of everyone, including Goldmane himself. They all saw what had happened to Vulcan, and like a glass object falling onto the floor, their will to fight was shattered instantly. The Exus took advantage of that moment of weakness and started killing members of Goldmane's family left and right. The death of Vulcan, who was Goldmane's first son and his right hand man, drove the giant lion into a fit of rage, and he went berserk as he started to destroy all of the robots, not stopping until there weren't any left. It looked like it was all over after that, but then a horde of Exus much bigger than all the ones they had fought up until then appeared. Goldmane knew that if they continued to fight, they were all going to die. So he ordered Daxos to teleport away together with the last surviving members. The wizard did as their father commanded, and after they were gone, the giant lion was left to face the Exus all by himself.

The surviving group (which consisted of 33 members, including Michael, Daxos and Marco and was mostly made of children) returned to Roguetown a few days later, only to find that it was gone. Not just the town: the whole land that held the town and the Goldmane Gang's base seemed to have broken away from the continent and disappeared into the sea. They all knew that whatever happened, their father was the one who had caused it.

Having no place to call home, the 33 survivors spent the next few months living like nomads under Michael's leadership, traveling around Mobius and trying to survive in this new hellish world. Eventually, they had no choice but to split up because maintaining 33 people was proving to be far too difficult for the inexperienced hawk. But before they did, Michael made a promise to all of them: Some day, when all the Exus had been erased from Mobius, they would find each other again, and they would restore the Goldmane Gang to its former glory.

Having said their final goodbyes, and wishing each other the best of luck, the 33 survivors all went their separate ways. Michael, Daxos and Marco continued to travel around Mobius, battling any Exus robots they found along the way and growing stronger with each victory. And the rest, as they say, is history...

Though usually their efforts are in vain, sometimes Michael does listen to what they have to say and takes their advice into account before taking action. The three of them have their moments when they pull pranks on each other and bicker with each other. But at the end of the day, Michael knows he can trust them when the going gets rough.

Although he has only met a few of the Genesis Freedom Fighters, he gets along with them as well. While they share his little group's goal of taking down the Exus, he doesn't see himself officially joining any of their different branches any time soon. Still, he likes to swing by their base and hang around whenever he has the time.
