Description Sometimes it's good to look back to see where you've come from and how you've progressed. I heard one way to do this is just to redraw a pic that you did a little while ago (six months or so ago should be fine. ) So, I drew the same portrait that was in the early part of my gallery again, just to see what the difference would be. After seeing the comparision, I'm kind of embarrassed to post the old one. But, if it can help someone, then it's worth the embarrassment. Let me know what you think!

As a teacher, you are making the point which I always have to tell my students. You always have to keep practicing and improving. Life is always a work in progress -- as are the skills we use.

Well.. You can at the least say that you've improved.. =7 But also, your style has changed alot! It's more realistic now compared to the earlier picture.

Thanks very much! Yeah, the way I draw is still very much a work in progress. Thanks for checking my stuff out.

Cheers!

Isn't it always? A work in progress, I mean..
At least I think so. You always aim to get better, right? ^^ What's the point in it, otherwise?
I love to learn new techniques and to get small tips on how you can improve.. Well, at least as I'm good at it, anyhow.

Sometimes I recomment to don't look back, but when it comes to drawing... And its good to see. I like them both. They;re a bit too different to compare to each other, you see its the same girl though... The right one is much more realistic. !

Thanks. I think the one on the right looks a bit better, even with the fact that it's more realistic. I think the initial construction is better. Thanks for liking both though. Well... keep moving forward.

Thanks again!

wowie. your style has gotten so much more advanced! one thing is bothering me though. in the more recent one, your light source seems to be coming from two different places. on her left shoulder the light source is from the left, but on her face and hair it seems to be coming from the right. i like the texture of the background, and how defined her face is. especially the nose. great work

Thanks! Hmm... I think I see what you're saying about the light source (I'll be more conscious of that in my next drawing. )

Thanks again for the kind words. ^_^
