I love this photograph because it means We are in trouble. My father was a Vietnam vet, and he would agree that hanging the flag upside down is appropriate for what is going on. The photograph makes me woefully sad. Beautifully done.

If they give you any backlash, explain what it means. It is not illegal nor is it disrespectful, as this is our right, as Americans, to our freedom of speech. People might become angry, but ignore them, you’ve expressed yourself, and that is what matters. You did the right thing.
