Description I thought I'd put this in nature, as this building seems to be one with nature now. However, it should give people browsing through the architecture photos a laugh if nothing else. This was taken somewhere between Maple Ridge and Mission, north of Hwy 7.

UPDATE: here's how it looks now! [link]

Actually, this doesn't give me a laugh at all. I get sort of melancholy when I look at this, for I believe it is such a damn shame that a house like this was left to rot and deteriorate. I love old homes; it makes me a bit sad to see them go to waste. Old homes once stood in their glory, unique from all the rest...if I had the money (a.k.a. if I was a millionare), I'd find old houses and restore and revamp them. I still must say this is a nice shot you captured. I agree with you that the house is definitely one with nature now. The wood of the house is going back to earth.

This is a beautiful shot.
It is a shame to see such beauty discarded though. Old houses have so much character compared to the "boxes" lived in today.

Seeing this happen to old house's saddens me. I looks as if it was once very stunning; it could have so much history to it.
Awesome shot!

Thanks

Did you have a look at the link to see how it looks now? I should go back again in another few months and see if they've cleared it all out or if there's just a pile of wood sitting there. Could be handy for firewood. Hmm....

I'll have to pop by there and see if it's still there now. Please excuse the lack of interior shots of this place

Greg, that's a really good shot!

Well, I have gone back to see if it's still there, and it is, just not quite as upright. [link]

Ha ha! Wow that is amazing. How can something be falling down so much and still be in one piece?
