Description A lot of the times when I make avatars and display images depicting myself, it features some good ol' 3D spectacles. The origin of this motif is one of my childhood treasures: Lucasarts' Zombies Ate My Neighbours for the SNES.

Lucasarts' golden age, that was.

Just checked it out in your gallery, fantastic! Β I'm glad you're helping keep Zombies Ate My Neighbours alive (or undead) with the cosplay treatment. Β Thanks for enjoying my drawing!

Truly epic. That was my favorite game as a kid. I actually started playing it again about an hour ago. I need to re-sharpen my gaming skills as I don't remember level 10 being so balls hard

That game could get pretty brutal, even with co-op backup. So much fun!

ESPECIALLY with back up. Splitting up resources, waiting for the other player to catch up...
Two days after I posted that first comment, I finally beat the game

Man, I still play this game.

The first zombie game I've ever played :3

I am trying to think of an earlier game that was primarily about zombies and can't come up with anything offhand. So I suppose this was the first one I've ever played as well!

Thanks! And it is absolutely one of the best. If we ever meet up one day we're going to bang some AotP type shit and co op through the game. Although I kind of suck at it.

Also, I love the little mosquito on his arm.

Thanks Evan! I think that mosquito shape was accidental, but NOBODY HAS TO KNOW. Shhh.

Goddamnit, Now I really wanna see the progress of one of your drawings. Your shading is unbelievable.

Thanks for the generous compliment! I would show you the image in an earlier stage but this particular drawing is actually mostly on one layer. Whoops! I do that sometimes.

What I like about this drawing is that if you decrease this picture's size, the rather obvious strokes blend into a natural, decent portrait.
Sadly, your newer submission "MC Frontalot" does not have the same effect.

Was it long enough to call it an age?

Also that's a really nice signature.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

michaelfirman In reply to Ennokni [2009-08-24 09:56:43 +0000 UTC]

I don't know if there's some historical criteria that must be met before calling something an age, but relative to Lucasarts recent activity I'd definitely herald that first decade as the golden something. From Maniac Mansion to Grim Fandango!

Also thanks!

Ennokni In reply to michaelfirman [2009-09-14 03:59:54 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. You can at least say that there was a golden time to be had.

Also you're welcome!
