Continuing the celebration of Batman: The Animated Series, I next decided to try my hand with one of the only Batman villains I've ever sympathized with; Dr. Victor Fries.

All he wanted was to have his wife by his side again, and he was willing to put her through cryogenics to do so. Had corporate slime ball Ferris Boyle not intervened, Victor would not have turned into the man of vengeance he has been since then. Though I felt horrible for Mr. Freeze, I couldn't condone what he would do later in life, even though it was because he wanted Nora back.

Eventually his wish was granted, and at the end of the movie Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero, Nora is saved by surgery funded by Wayne Enterprises.

Twenty-five years later and still I feel the impact Freeze left behind.
