Some new concept art pieces for "Alice in Wonderland" have just been released by Disney.While I designed most of the characters on the show in collaboration with Tim Burton, this concept for the Dodo is based on a drawing by the mad-talented Bobby Chiu imaginism.deviantart.com/

P.S.: Some of my character design pieces will be part of the Alice in Wonderland exhibition at Arludik Gallery in Paris on the 3rd and 4th of March.
Arludik is the first gallery dedicated to the art and artists behind cinema, comics and video games.
They already had exhibitions on iconic artists like Moebius, Miyazaki, Otomo, Giger and John Howe, just to name a few.

This is truly amazing. The coloration contrasts very well, with no strain on the eyes, and body shape resembles strongly of the Dodo bird. ;3

Esta es una colorida imagen, aunque la mayorΓa son colores monocromΓ‘ticos, se siente la atmosfera que creaste con dichos colores, y aunque tampoco tiene formas en el fondo, el dodo, que es el personaje central, es un deleite para la vista, el detalle que le agregaste a la cara sobre todo.
Tal vez en la textura y detalle de las plumas te pudiste haber lucido un poco mΓ‘s, y el fondo pudo ser el habitad del dodo o algo asΓ para aprovechar el concepto, eso habrΓa encajado perfecto en la composiciΓ³n de la imagen, las luces y las sombras pudieron haber tenido mΓ‘s contraste, ya que este diseΓ±o se ve un poco mas plano que los demΓ‘s, que en este sentido son perfectos.
No pediste crΓtica, y esta no lo es, porque no deja de ser un comentario y puntos de vista.
En general, asΓ como esta, no le quito nada, de hecho es una de mis favoritas de toda tu galerΓa.

I really like this design of the Dodo bird! All funky and strange like true Lewis Carroll lore.
I was disappointed how the Dodo and the March Hare had such small roles in the film. Especially the Dodo, it's as if he was included in the film for no other reason than to include him in the film.
At least we all got to see a cool design for the character out of it.
