Ppfffttttt! I would take the loud obnoxious music over at anytime . My neighbour could get rather... loud with his partners of choices a couple of times in a day...yeah....good luck sleeping with that when the walls are paper thin.
Though, he did also have poor taste in music when blasting it every friday.

I only did the apartment thing for about a year. I don't miss it, and my neighbours were far from the worst. That said, you should just crank up your own tunes. If necessary, buy some great big speakers and put them right up to the neighbours' wall.
