Just finished up the "Feudal Japan"-themed badge artwork for Tsubasacon 2017 (October 13–15; Huntington, WV) and it hit me that I never really share artwork I've done for past shows.Last year's theme was something along the lines of "Classic/Nostalgic Anime"—basically anything from the early 2000s on back. For the badges I tried to keep the mainstream powerhouses like Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon out of the mix, and I really like how these homages turned out. Tried to emulate the style and iconic images from each of the shows/movies featured.
Hard to pick a favorite as they each presented a unique, fun challenge. I'll be digging through the archive for more old convention artwork I've done!
