I wanted to take a break from my typical imagery and try this Asian style of digital art that is popular and, well, really cool! The work of contemporary Asian artists is mind blowing in my opinion and I just had to see if I could get anywhere near their abilities.When I began this image, I was wondering why I didn't try it more often until I remembered how TIME CONSUMING it is! But worth it right?
Unlike other artists who create art in this style, my work here is, as always, photo manipulation. I can say this is based off of a real person's image which I think adds more reality to it and of course, that makes at lest two people who are happy with the work - the model and me

well, very different from your usual conceptual photomanipulations, but not in a bad way at all. This is truly stunning.
It seems you have only used shades of pink, and shades of white, which even seem slightly pink, which is very interesting. A beautiful model that you have changed into a beautiful manipulation. Lots of bright colour with such clever use of photoshop...
Beatiful backlighting too.
Hard to believe that you have inspirations, since you are an inspiration in your own right.
You should do works like this more often, your take on the contempory oriental art trend is amazing, to say the least.

This is fantastic. The colour choice is brilliant, the soft tones give the image a really gentle feel, and the overall composition works really well.
This is one of those pieces that stop you in your tracks when you are flicking through the DeviantArt webpage.

I like the shades of pink you used! It's all pretty much pink but just the different dark and light pinks really stand out and make it very interesting and pleasing to the eye!

Of course I've seen his work. In fact I might consider him the best digital artist I've ever seen. The difference is (in regards to my inspiration for this image) he uses a lot more western influences compared to the other two.
