You have the character of wolf in your artwork. Your girl has it in her pose/bearing too. The two of them seem to reflect one another. I'm not sure how you did this. When I see wolf in nature, I see loneliness. The wolf has always been a mystical creature for me, even mythical. Wolves don't dance. They don't seem to be in step with anything except the most invisible and subtle cycles of the natural world (the moon, rain/cloud/snow, death). They always seem to know darkness and light. Wolves express the shadows of life. The know/feel the shadows. I'm not sure they like the shadows, preferring to be in the light, but appreciate the necessity for a shadowland. always just next to us as we walk through life. They are pathfinders. I have always been a pathfinder myself, identifying strongly with the mythical (powerful, bound) Fenris wolf. I found myself in your painting. Your wolf is fierce, and so is the girl. They are together, seem to have a common destiny. How did this come about? For me their destiny is in the shadows, which they have been led into to by some unfortunate circumstance. This is all in the painting. The magic of this art is the story. It is colourful, rich, deep and frightening. I don't understand your use of shadow/shading though. Technically it seems good, yet the wolf seems to be in the light and the girl in the wolf's shadow. The girl seems to be darker, deeper and more mysterious and mythical than the wolf. It's a subtle thing, but the richer and darker colours belong to the girl. She is with wolf, and seems unaffected and totally focussed on a macabre story beyond their moment together. It can only be a moment. That is wolf, not dog. Your choice of colour and its shades reflect your own story whatever the source of this picture. I like the feeling of it. I want to see darkness in your work. Rich colours, dark themes. It's there already but you haven't touched the surface of your shadow. Go into shadowland. It's a great work this....so rich, expressive, deep, dark and mysterious. It needs to be more fearless though. It's technically fantastic in my view.

This is a Beautiful piece of artwork!I love the detail on the the scratch marks on her face. You can actually feel the pain that happened when she got the mark. I have an Akita at home and this just reminds me of him. Well, good job!
