Excellent shot!! The stone almost looks like a mirror. I love the haunted feeling you captured.
Interesting, I grew up under the shadow of another Red Mountain, where the rocks and dirt are red due to iron ore.

I feel a chill...and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a phantom at any moment. This photo caught my eye when looking a all of the great offerings in your gallery.

Thanks. It was shot near very old Church on the Red Mountain (if I remember) in south-western Poland.
And there was something in the air, maybe a fog only... Maybe something else...

Hello! great photo. I love it. I would love to see it in enlargement, or as a print. You've caught it wonderfully. Great moment, great angle. Oh... Makes me smile! Good stuff...
But you want 'advanced critique' so ... Only one technicality - when you post something, please use less jpeg compression - in photoshop take level 10 - i guess it's the best compromise, even for highly grainy pictures it works well. And beforehand, i always try to sharpen up a little. You can do it best by unsharpmasking with the 'magic' formula which is Strenght: 100 to 200 percent, radius 0.3 pixels, and treshold - 0 to 5, according to your preference. This method should work better and in a more controllable manner than just plain Sharpen command in photoshop. Plus maybe, but just maybe, i'd try to pull out more detail from the shades below the monument - this bottom part seems a bit redundant. We know that it contains some detail, but it's not enough to see it.

Thanks.
You're right about compression, but when I think I'm gonna post something bigger than 150kb then I feel ants crawling on my back... It's a trauma from time where internet was accessible by old 14k4 modems (moreso).
I know "the unsharp mask" spell, but I like somewhat blurry pictrues - I'm fighting with my friend (Wantuch) about RAW files "developing", and he states that images should be sharpen and I hesitate. It's the matter of preference I persume (or years of experience).
I'll check it again... Thanks for advice.

wow. The fog does wonders for the mood here, and so does the angle. I'm impressed.
