Description Auprès de mon arbre,

This title -it means “By my tree...”- and these words, are from a song of (one of) the greatest French poet-singer Georges Brassens...

The little house (maset) is slowly sinking into the ground as we all may sink in despair one day, because of loneliness, because of oblivion, because of men’s stupidity...
We all have to learn from each other not to forget anything about beauty and love before it's too late...

I would like to dedicate this picture to 2 great and genuine photographers, their B & W pictures are always for me a real inspiration and example…
Thank you Rainer
for your talent, your kindness and for the truth coming out of your pictures…
Thank you Damien
for your help and patience in so many cases, for your natural talent and kindness and for being a wonderful son…

this cannot be... again and again and again and...

long time no see (me) on deviantart; but i'm going to tell you about it.
The photo is wonderfule and impressive, coming from and taking me to that place we both well know and remember of... to where we will someday return... all of us, still human and alive in our hearts and soul ...
with lots of hugs, kisses and affection...

You make very good use of the extreme wide angle, the perspective of the photo seems to suck me in. It gives me the feeling that I am sinking into the photo, just as the house is sinking. Very well done.

Bravo Michel!

sweet shot, the sky seems genuinely imposing, and the crisp, high contrasty black and white is something to aspire to.

Magnifique!
Tres tres belle photo!

"...I don't have a coat of silk, but still I have the sky.
And I don't have a lady fair... but there goes a butterfly
Now I don't have a house of stone, but I can see the sea...."

You're picture seems a little dark to me, but that might just be the computer. The sky seems to be too heavy for the little house. On a day with less density I would like to live in such a house.

i like how the sky itself looks broken, making the land look sturdy,
the house looks like it's leaning on the tree, which is leaning towards it.. okay, i just love it
excellent

Vraiment bien

the biggest beauty of this house is that, even so falling still transmits security and comfort to our hearts, its fall is poetical... I don’t have much hope of that humanity, if to continue indifferent to its errors, will be equal.
