Description Any kind of work
Deserves respect…

Where is the real difference between work and artwork?
Maybe only in our artistic pretension to imitate the Creator…

.°.

Zhangzhou, China, in a very small village, a wonderful manual worker…

Canon EOS 400D + Canon Zoom 17-85 mm.
Converted in B & W, contrast, curves and clarity with Photoshop…

What do you think of the 17-85mm? I've been thinking of getting the 17-40mm L glass whenever I scrounge up the extra cash, but that extra 40mm top zoom could be handy.

Michel-Lag-Chavarria In reply to ViperStrike [2007-03-24 11:23:26 +0000 UTC]

It's a good lens, very efficient in many situations, surely my favourite after my beloved Canon 10-22mm...

10-22mm...hmm..thats an idea. Is it an EF-S series lens though? I'm not sure If I want to buy any of them as they will limit me to the 1.6x crop cameras (300D, 350D, 400D) and eventually I want one of the full frame digital bodies.

Michel-Lag-Chavarria In reply to ViperStrike [2007-03-24 21:48:28 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it's a EF-S USM... expensive but very high quality...

you've given us another drop of wisedom my friend.

the more humble the job is the more respect the worker deserve, because I don't know if I'd been able to do the same.

so true -- we are all artists of a different kind -- some with words -- others with sight -- its times like these -- that we appreciate the moments that have passed -- the lives that are lived -- and to remember -- that we are all forever connected -- later days

Maybe the difference is only in our mind: every creation is a sort of artwork...

Do I really need to repeat, that I adore your style?))
