Quelques pensées d’espoirLorsque les ombres meurent
Quand les couleurs s‘observent
S’interrogent sans fin
Puis glissent vers le noir
Inexorablement
Ainsi font-elles enfin
Sans relâche ni peur
S’enivrant à penser
Qu’elles pourraient durer
Pour que la nuit les cueille
Et les enferme enfin
En son sac de velours
Sous son ciel d’innocence
En son sein protecteur
A l’abri sans savoir
De la folie des hommes…
My friends, this is Le Salagou, a beautiful and deep lake at 15 km from my village, south of France. This area has a very strong natural contrast, the earth is almost red and the water hesitates all day long wearing its magnificent dark blue, dark red or dark green dresses, depending on the light or on its mood.
I’ve taken this picture yesterday at 5:00 pm.
It was an incredible and wonderful spring-like afternoon; the light was just gorgeous and summer seems to challenge autumn...

What lovely colours! I'm especially loving evey feature of the shot, I love the foreground with the little rocks then I love the background of the Mountain! Looks great. If I had one complaint, I wish the water was a little more calm but you can't be that lucky! Well done

Most definetly a beautiful piece, I'm not even sure if its just the stunning photo, or the poem. As much as I understand it, it really fits the picture to create a feeling of an untouched paradise. Alas, my French is far from fluent

I love the contrasts in the picture. But I think most of all I like the title of the photo, it makes you wonder what you mean by dresses. It's more than just a visual picture, but also mental.

What is interesting to me about this picture is first the texture of the rock, and then if you follow that up, you see the shadow of the hill in the background in the water, only it looks like an arrow pointing back down to the rock. So your eye goes from top to bottom vertically back and forth. I am wondering if you altered that shadow at all, or was it just really like that? Well done. I hope to get to France this summer, I cannot wait.
