On the day of the Royal Wedding, the Duke Noren walks into the bedroom to find Benine ready for the ceremony.

"Oh my. You look fabulous. Good enough to ..."

"Marry ?" she laughs.

"Well yes. I didn't make these silly rules that dukes can only marry girls with a title."

"Well you know the Empire motto." Benine laughs, "In-breeding are us."

"Yeah." the Duke grins, "So why are you in white ?"

"Shows how much attention you pay to royal protocols. Every female has to be in white to sanctify the purity of the occasion."

"And is it ?"

"Pure ? I very much doubt it. Everyone will be bitching about something or the other."

"So where will you be ?"

"Outside the main doors right at the back. The duchesses are at the front inside, then all the other titled ladies. If you were marrying Princess Sonja I might not even have got an invite."

"I'd have made sure you got one."

"Thanks." she grins, "So are you ready for your booze-up ?"

"Ready as I can be. I was never into drinking everyone else under the table even when I was younger."

"Well sneak out early and so will I and we can have a pretend wedding in the garden."

"Oh my, yes please." the Duke suddenly perks up.
