I apologize for taking so ong to get to this critique. So let's start.
I quite enjoy the subject matter of this image. You make an interesting use of lighting and the body paint adds an element that breaks away from the overall washed out look of this. Which is good. The pose, while not dynamic, really seems to fit the idea of this work.
I had a look at the stock image you used for the wings, and I think there's a little more you can do with them. Personally, without having had seen the stock, I would have thought they were inverted with colour. But that's honestly just how the bird's feathers are in the image. I think there might be a way to work with some dodging and burning to make the feathers stand out more and match a little better. They just seem to fade into the blackness save for those lighter feathers.
The overall piece feels a little too washed out. I think you could again work with some burning to give definition to the hands and other areas that are mildly washed out. But if that's not something you're interested in doing, that's fine. It's your personal style and I'm not one to demand an artist to change that.
And to be perfectly honest, I almost want to see this in colour. Very muted and soft skin tones could really bring out the beauty of the model. Imperfections in the skin with some softened lighting.
All in all, I say that this piece is great on its own, but has the potential to be so very much more. With some minor tweaks, I think it could REALLY pop. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
Hope this critique helped!
Keep creating!

This photo immediately caught my eye the first time that I saw it, and for good reasons.
The body paint is stunning, it is well designed and gives you a wild and dangerous look, but it is only a part of what makes this photo great. Your pose and expression is, according to me, the most fantastic part. It radiates power, confidence and superiority. It matches the body paint perfectly, and they both enhance the effect of the other, creating the impression of an individual of awe-inspiring power.
That your technique is impressive goes without saying. Although I am no expert when it comes to photography, I know a skilfully taken photo when I see one, and this is definitely one of them.
To sum it up: This is a beautiful photo with a great concept, and I think I speak for most of us when I say that we can't wait to see more photos like this from you. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

I admire the intensity in this one, the tribal/runic markings really make this stand out. I actually came up with a couple characters for a story I'm thinking about writing based on your Valkyrie photos. I hope you don't mind, they mostly serve as a visual reference but if you don't approve just inform me of such. The markings and dark, grungy atmosphere were what provided the inspiration, and although I realize this is supposed to be a Valkyrie, I found a creature in Danish lore also associated with ravens called a Valravn, which also suited this quite nicely.
Still admiring,
Corey
