EDIT: Took away the fugly black border, and changed the lineart on Caoimhe's ears to match the rest of her body. Sorry!

Here we have Maddie's two lovely characters (sisters, actually) Caoimhe on the left, and Fierra on the right. Poor Fierra's left eye is blind, which is why it looks a bit funny here! But her other eye is just fine. She's just escaped, hence the frayed rope around her neck. So here they are, making the run to freedom. Go, go, go!

Overall, I'm quite happy with everything, apart from Caoimhe's back leg, and Fierra's tail! I just couldn't get it to look right. I'm considering trying a new way of colouring hair, so look out for that sometime.

Anyway, I hope you like it, Maddie! I had a blast colouring them - they have such lovely colours and designs. Expect to see some of your other characters somewhere down the road! Hehe.

Thankies! Well, what to do is make sure all your layers are merged (preferably once you've made sure you have finished the picture!) then duplicate that layer, making sure the duplicated version is ABOVE the original. Then go to Edit --> Stroke. In the pop-up box, change the width to 30 or 40px, and change the colour to white (or whatever you want it to be). Make sure that the location is selected to "inside", and click OK. Then you simply lower the opacity of this layer so that it looks transparent! Sounds hard, but it's quite easy when you try it.

Usually I just draw cartoony style horses and don't give a monkeys about anatomy etc but recently I've started to draw horses from reference more in hopes that it'll help my cartoony style.
