Kagome came back after the 3 year separation. They wanted to comfort the other and never be apart again. I imagine Kagome missing her family and just Inuyasha is her security blanket. She can just pull him over her or tuck herself under him–they both grab each other whenever they feel like it now without hesitation–and she knows she’s safe. She can protect him, too, whenever he needs it. They’re both exactly where they belong: with each other. So, they protect each other from everything from demons to nightmares. ❤️ Oh, this was done first as a pencil sketch, then inked in and colored with Copic markers, Prisma color pencil and gel pen on Copic paper.
