Serah Farron Engagement Necklace FF13/FF3-2===========================================
Finally found a way to make those cracks on the ball piece for the necklace, now it looks much better!
The pendent is approx. 10cm, that's including the ball and the spiral piece on the bottom.
Necklace:
- Silver colored ball with uneven edges with a clear 10mm diamond crystal inside
- There is an actual ring that sits on top of the ball, is detachable as shown in picture.
-> There are a clear Swarovski Crystal on the ring.
-> The ring size is around 6~7, the ring is also adjustable
- There is a beautiful small ring that connects the pendant to the chain, there are crystals on the small ring
- The bottom spiral is handmade with silver colored Sculpey. It is carefully crafted to take the shape of the office necklace. It took me a long time to make it into a shape that I was satisfied with!
Chain:
The chain is 15in in length with 2in extension chain.

Sculpey is a brand of polymer clay that hardens in the toaster oven. you can get it at your local art stores, they are really common crafting material. I'm not sure if Walmart sells it or not. FIMO is another brand of polymer clay, I think they are slightly harder to find than Sculpey. I use the 2 interchangeably.

I buy the silver colored ball at the jewelry component store. it is approx. 12cm in diameter. However, the *broken* look is 100% hand created.

Do you have industrial tools? I use an electric hand-disk sander for the ball part: I bought a metal ball, then sanded a surface and made the "cracks" by hand. All these operations are done by an electric sander. The bottom swirl is hand-shaped with Scuelpy then baked in an oven. After all the parts are made, the pieces are put together by wire-warp.
I'll see if I can take some photos and write a blurb on the process

I changed the construction of the necklace couple of times, I wouldn't say one is better than the other... I think they are all pretty in their own way ^^
