The human is the spirit's mortal alter ego created to keep the world's balance and after their death, the spirit moves on and creates a new one. It is also believed that a spirit represents its human's perfect lover.
Sitka was cursed and in effect, he turns into his spirit's human form, Nóriel, every time he is poured cold water onto*. Respectively, Nóriel turns back into Sitka's form by contact with hot water*. They can communicate with each other in their mind, but the person in background cannot talk to other people, unless via the other as a mediator.
* this doesn't mean a glass or so; it has to be enough to soak most of their bodies. In other words, Nóriel can perfectly have a cup of tea, for example.
Abilities: Very basic watermancy - just enough to have a better control over their curse shifting. (They keep practicing outside the ELM class).
Sitka is just a human and has no supernatural abilities; he's, however, physically quite strong and has a big knowledge (well, he had time to gather it).
Nóriel, imprisoned in her human body, lost pretty much all of her spirit powers – she still can see other humans's spirits and communicate with them though. She can as well read and understand any existing language – to her, it's all just one – and for some reason, everybody understands when she speaks, too.

Cheerful, adventurous and enthusiastic; doesn't fret when challenged; open to any and all ideas and initiatives; probably annoying to some; awes over kitty-cats; jealous, possesive even; can be a bit cruel (like any other god-like being).

History: Sitka grew up in a wealthy Khallesian family and generally, during his pre-curse days he never lacked a thing. He could possibly be happier without his two younger sisters, but hey, he was the only son, and as such was entitled to inherit all his family owned. Needless to say, he was quite a spoiled brat, if not a douchebag even, and didn't care a lot about how to be the head of his family. He was spending his days with friends mostly, and as soon as he grew up enough to desire it – also with courtesans.

Not that he was a bad person. Not THAT much. When he was 20, the older of his sisters, Kida, turned 14 and according to traditions of the Khallesian, she was supposed to get married and leave her family. He knew how scared she was, and understood her well – he was doing everything not to get involved in an arranged marriage, too. Soon he got the idea of just refusing for both him and Kida. After all, he was the next head of the family, he was allowed to make decisions he wanted, right?

...not really. The priest, enraged by Sitka's pride and insolence, put a curse on him to teach him a lesson. Ironically enough, the priest's action enraged Nóriel's fellow spirits and in effect, he got thrown into the darkest depths of Oblivion. Soon later, the cursed young man realized that there was no one able to reverse the curse – not even the spirits. According to how Nóriel explained that to him years later, he became immortal thanks to her soul. Obviously, that meant he couldn't die – which led to that she was unable to leave him and be free, regain her powers and create a new human.

For next two thousand years, as Nóriel was learning how to be a human, they were led around by her obsessions mostly. Due to her being unable to understand the difference between reality and fiction, they spent their years looking for people and locations – they searched the three musketeers in France and the gods on top of Olymp; Dolores Haze in America and Dracula's castle in Romania (obviously, they only found the ruins of Vlad Palownik's castle). In Venezia, they met Rose and Nóriel almost got eaten by his friend, oops. Finally, Nóriel met Harry Potter and got a new lifetime dream – to receive a Hogwarts letter.
  ...and soon later, she learnt about Otherworlde**.

Misc. Information:
  - The curse was inspired by what happened to the main character of Ranma 1/2.
  - Sitka always carries a bag in which he keeps Nóriel's shoes in case he gets accidentally soaked. If he does, Nóriel puts his boots and trousers in the bag, since they're too big for her (and his shirt is pretty much enough for a dress for her); generally, their clothing style is very dependant on the terms of their cooperation – they generally wear things that the other would be comfortable to wear, too, but exceptions may occur on special ocassions. Rule denied by Norrie's weakness for cuteness.
  - Their favourite song is Elvis Presley's Stuck On You (oh, the irony).
  - ...they may or may not be slightly inspired by my OC, Rigel (Sitka) and Samciu 's Samael (Nóriel – look hon, she's even shorter than Yuri! ).
  - It is unknown who had such a sense of humour to drop them an Otherworlde letter. Nóriel is silently sure it was her sensei and hero, professor Helmy. Sitka suspects professor Razik, this guy likes teasing people.
  - It's not confirmed by experience yet, but it's very likely that out of them, only Sitka is fertile; it's an assumption based on that Nóriel barely ever had a full menstruation cycle (she's just too shortly in her form), let alone not changing for long enough to be pregnant and give birth; while sperm needs way less time to be produced.
  - My another OW character, Rose, once had a spirit, too. In fact, Nóriel happened to know it; she quite literally said that Rose 'looks like something her old friend would create'. However, since he's technically dead for nine years already, the spirit moved on and created a new human.
  - Spirits only create humans (witches and warlocks including), so if you happen to wonder whether your character has one, please remember this X3
  - They now own a cerberus puppy! Its names are Lucifer, Samael and Mephistopheles, or Luc, Sam and Meph for short. It was gifted by Nóriel's old friend, Samael.

Paragraph Sample: Sitka couldn't believe his eyes. He was staring at the letter that had appeared just like that on his pillow while he'd been sleeping. A wax sealed letter, written in ink with a feather probably. Addressed to him and Nóriel, who, thank the spirits, was still asleep in their mind.
'No... Fucking... Way,' he whispered and ripped the envelope open. Otherworlde. Academy of dark arts... What kind of joke was that?!
'What is it?', asked Nóriel, wide awake and hella curious. Sitka quickly took the letter away from his sight, so that she couldn't see it, either.
'Nothing.' Too late.
'Show it to me. Showitshowitshowit!', she demanded loudly, causing him such a headache so he had to surrender.
'Geez... Okay, just shut up already,' hissed Sitka and did what she wanted. Not long later, he heard an excited gasp somewhere inside his skull.
'Oh my god, ohmygod! A magic school! And POTIONS!' Sitka knew he was defeated already. Even if he refuses, she would make a trip on her own as soon as they get soaked with cold water. There was no point in fighting even.
'Let me guess. We're...'
'We're totally going, of course!' Sitka sighed and fell onto the pillow, resigned. 'Do you think Snape has a cousin?'
