Oh I see I got to admit that russian cartoons were amazing, I wonder why they dont do animation (at least not as good) nowadays.

I suppose it requires too much money, and nobody is interested to invest in it. Moreover, I don't think they would like to make English-speaking characters, and very few people would be able to watch them in Russian... the language is not as international as English is nowadays. But it's a shame. Easter Europe has a lot to offer in terms of art in general. We have a darker, more profound view on things, and I wish we would have more of a voice.

I agree, Eastern Eu point of view is slightly different than Western's. On one hand it might seem as it is a disadvantage, but that is also why our art is so interesting For example, we could tell more about hopelesness and sorrow, as oppose to American theme, that a man will always find his way to cope with problems. I think that is one of the biggest differences between these cultures.
