Before my dad's accident he had his music, his family, and a drug free life.

Drugs happened, parents divorced, lost custody of me and my sister, and he went into a suicidal depression..al he had was his music.

He only knew how o play stuff by ear, it was a gift. He could listen to a song once and play it back to you on guitar, saxophone,piano, drums..you name it.

Then last year he passed out at the wheel going 70 miles per hour and crached head on into a rock wall. He was rushed to a hospital by helicopter and spent 3 weeks in ICU with a bruised heart, shattered left leg, broken nose, sufferred permanent brain damage, and couldn't breath with out a machine. It was hard enough seeing him like that.

Then through a miracle he began to recover but soon he found that he had lost all ability to place music anymore. The crash had messed with his mind. The only thing he can play now is piano.

Music is a powerful thing. I remember when my mom grounded from all music for a week. I didnt expet it to be such an important thing in my life. That tattoo represents hope..hope in my dad, in my own life, and the impact one small thing can have to get you through the day.
